What is Tap Tap Smart Business Card? +
Tap Tap smart business card is a digital business card that uses NFC technology to share contact information. Instead of exchanging paper cards, you can simply tap your NFC-enabled card on someone else's phone, and your contact details will be instantly transferred. It's a more efficient and eco-friendly way of networking, as it eliminates the need for physical cards and can be updated easily.
How can I check if my phone supports NFC? +
For Android
Option A: Check in Settings
1. Go to Settings
2. Tap on 'Connected devices' or 'Connections' (varies by brand)
3. Look for 'NFC' or 'Near Field Communication'
4. If you see it, your phone supports NFC — toggle it ON to enable
Option B: Search in Settings
1. Open the Settings app
2. Use the search bar at the top to type in “NFC”
3. If results appear, your phone supports it
For iOS
iPhone 7 and newer supports NFC
iPhone XS and newer supports background NFC (no need to open an app to scan). NFC is always on by default — just tap and go
iPhone Xs and lower models:
- To check or enable NFC, open your Settings app and use the search bar at the top to type in “NFC.” If your device supports it and provides manual control, you’ll see the option to turn it on. However, keep in mind that on many iPhone models, especially older ones, NFC is managed automatically by iOS and may not appear as a toggle in settings. In such cases, you may need to use an NFC reader app to access NFC functionality.

What can I share on my profile? +
You can share:
- Name, phone, email, and job title
- Social media profiles (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Portfolio, website, or booking links
- Payment info like bank account
- Google reviews
What does NFC stand for? +
NFC stands for Near Field Communication.
NFC is a short-range wireless technology that enables devices to exchange data when placed close together, typically within a few centimeters. It’s commonly used for mobile payments, access control, and device pairing.
Can NFC card be rewritten? +
You can easily erase and update the data on these chips using an NFC app and a compatible smartphone—as many times as you want, unless the chip is permanently locked.
How near must the device be for NFC to work? +
0 to 4 centimeters (about 1.5 inches)
For the best performance, the devices or card should be almost touching or within a few millimeters of the smartphone.
Do I need an app to use it? +
Recipients don’t need to install an app. Your profile opens instantly in their browser with just a tap. Meanwhile, the Tap Tap app keeps a record of all cards tapped or scanned on your phone, making it easy to track and manage your connections in one place.
Does NFC work without internet? +
The tap works, but the phone needs an internet connection to open the link and view your profile.
Can I customize the card design? +
Absolutely. You can choose materials (like wood, metal, PVC), and have your logo or name laser-engraved or printed.
Is it secure to share my detail via NFC? +
Yes, NFC works only at a very close range, ensuring you have complete control over who you choose to share your information with. Using your profile settings in the Tap Tap app, you can carefully select which details to share and which to keep private.
What happens if the phone doesn't support NFC? +
No worries! Most cards also have a QR code on the back—just scan it to access the same information.
How long does delivery take? +
After finalizing your custom design or confirming your order for pre-made Tap Tap cards, standard delivery to Thimphu and Paro takes 2–3 days. Delivery times to other dzongkhags may vary depending on your selected shipping method—either bus service, taxi service or Bhutan Post.
